Canadian Irish Studies Membership

The CAIS (Canadian Association for Irish Studies) has proudly served Irish culture students for more than 30 years, with a focus on encouraging and fostering the studies of Irish culture in Canada. These programs also work on encouraging young students and developing the “next generation” of Irish studies enthusiasts. It also supports discussions relating to the latest issues in Irish culture and studies through publications, online resources, and conferences.

CAIS brings everyone together that is committed to promoting the Irish culture in Canada. The CAIS members are found in all the territories and provinces of Canada. Members are also from Britain, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Asia, Australasia, Europe, and the United States.

Each year, the CAIS meets at one of the universities in Canada to celebrate Irish heritage and culture. These conferences offer an opportunity to meet musicians, poets, novelists, and scholars, to celebrate the spirit of conviviality and inquiry.

The annual membership in the CAIS includes 2 issues of the Canadian Journal of Irish Studies along with the Canadian Association for Irish Studies Newsletter.

The Memberships all expire on the 1st of July.
